Important Deadline Coming Up

Our veterans answered the call to serve our country, and I'm committed to ensuring they have the benefits and resources they earned.

Veterans who served in combat zones between September 11, 2001 and October 1, 2013 are now eligible for care under the PACT Act. The deadline to apply is Saturday, September 30th.

This special enrollment period gives veterans who served in Iraq, Afghanistan and other combat zones an opportunity to enroll directly in VA health care without first applying for disability compensation benefits.

It has been over a year since President Biden signed the Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring Our PACT Act into law, which expanded Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care and benefits for veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange, and other toxic substances. While over half a million individuals have filed claims since the passage of the PACT Act, there are millions more who have yet to file.
