On Veterans Day every year, our nation pauses to express its gratitude to all those who have worn our country’s uniform and served honorably. But too many of our veterans who served in the Vietnam War were never properly welcomed home or thanked for their bravery and sacrifice. The pinning ceremony my office held was a part of the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, which was authorized by Congress and launched in 2012, and aims to show these men and women how much their service is appreciated. They put everything on the line when their country needed them.
