100 Days in Congress

I’ve officially been your representative in Congress for 100 days! I want to share some highlights of what my team and I have been able to accomplish so far for people across Colorado.

We have helped hundreds of Coloradans solve issues with federal agencies, introduced measures to address some of the most pressing needs of our community, and responded to hundreds of thousands of emails and phone calls – and we’re just getting started!

My office prides itself on its outstanding constituent services, helping residents cut through bureaucracy and red tape, bringing federal funding to the district, and passing measures to help people across Colorado. Check out this video to see a snapshot of what we’ve been doing for you:

During this first 100 days, I was also proud to introduce my first bill, the Stop the Import of Fentanyl Act. It would establish a National Center to investigate how synthetic drugs come into our country and create a strategic plan for breaking up the drug trade.

Fentanyl has taken over drug supply chains globally and was responsible for more than 85% of all opioid overdose deaths in the U.S. in 2021. I am all too familiar with the devastating and lethal effects of synthetic drugs like these, as my own mother overdosed 20 times in one year because of fentanyl. The National Center established in my bill is crucial if we want to tackle this public health crisis.
