One of my biggest priorities as your member of Congress is delivering results for America’s servicemembers and their families. Veterans put their lives on the line to protect American freedoms, and they’ve earned the best benefits we can offer.

Last year, the Honoring our PACT Act was signed into law, becoming the largest expansion in health care and benefits in VA history.

Since taking office, I've also supported several key pieces of legislation to deliver critical resources to veterans, including: 

• The Major Richard Star Act, which returns money to veterans who were forced to retire early from military service due to battlefield injuries and illness
  
  
• The GUARD VA Benefits Act, which goes after unscrupulous “claims sharks” who defraud veterans out of their benefits
  
  
• The DRIVE Act of 2023, which would ensure that the VA Beneficiary Travel mileage reimbursement rate for eligible veterans is on par with the mileage rate for federal employees
  
  
• The Dental Care for Veterans Act, which adds dental coverage to VA Health coverage
